????????

There are many great watchmakers throughout history and in the world today. These men and women have contributed exceptional ideas and innovative techniques to the world of watchmaking, and their influence will be felt for many years to come. Here is a closer look at some of the greatest watchmakers in the world:

Christophe Claret

Christophe Claret is a seasoned watchmaker who was educated at the Geneva Watchmaking School. Claret is often called “The Magician” for his creations and contributions to the watchmaking industry. He prefers to look at watchmaking from the mechanical side instead of precise time measurement. He is famous for his complications, which are additional functions that do not tell time.

Carole Forestier Kasapi

Carole Forestier Kasapi is considered one of the best watchmakers in the world, and she has the awards to prove it. Kasapi was named the best watchmaker on Earth by the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genéve. She is also one of the driving forces behind the haute orlogerie division of Cartier. Haute orlogerie is considered the highest form of watchmaking.

Daniel Roth

Daniel Roth is a retired watchmaker now, but his influence was felt among some of the biggest watch brands in the world. Roth was a large part of Audemars Piquet, Breguet, and Bvlgari. He is still occasionally called upon by these brands to design and complete some of the most complicated additions to their watches.

Jean Francois Mojon

Jean Francois Mojon is an independent watchmaking master, who focuses on the construction of movements. Mojon has his own firm, called Chronode, but he is not content with keeping his designs and innovations to himself. Mojon has always shared his watchmaking techniques and ideas with others in the industry, including Harry Winston, Cyrus, and Breva.
